Special Education Services

Students in the PAT program don’t just study independence skills — they live them in safe, supportive settings. Each day is built around active practice and hands-on experience, including: 

• Public Transportation Training 
  Riding buses, planning routes, and rehearsing safety skills while traveling in the community. 

• Mock Apartment Living 
  A fully functioning apartment on campus allows students to practice cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and daily routines. 

• Community Engagement 
  Regular visits to shopping malls, grocery stores, restaurants, and cultural centers provide opportunities to practice communication, money management, and social skills. 

• Workplace Readiness 
  Students learn job habits, teamwork, and communication skills that prepare them for supported or independent employment. 

The Paramount Adult Transition program is staffed by experienced teachers and aides who provide individualized instruction and guidance. Families are partners in the process, and together we help students build skills for independent living, community participation, and lifelong growth.
